1961 Gibson ES-125TDC, Cherry Sunburst, Nice Condition!
Description
For Sale: 1961 Gibson ES-125TDC, EXC!
This is the desirable thinline cutaway variant of the ES-125 along with 2 P-90 pickups. Body depth is 1 3/4 like an ES-335. It does not have a serial # impressed into the back of the headstock, as Gibson began this in 1961, so this is probably a very late 1960 or early 1961 model.
This Gibson ES-125TDC also has a cherry sunburst finish (1st offered in 1961), original unbound tortoise shell pickguard, original rosewood bridge base, knobs, P-90s, replaced bridge for better intonation, original Bigsby with missing arm, Grovers have replaced the Kluson strip tuners, back of neck sanded down years ago for fast action. Nut width is 1 11/16. The guitar has had the same owner since 1976 when it was purchased in NYC.
The guitar is in EXC condition, plays and sounds great. The only reason for the sale is the current owner is playing acoustic guitar these days, so the ES-125TDC needs to find a new home with an electric player.
This is a very cool player's vintage Gibson electric for less than the same price of a new Gibson ES-335.
