Gibson Custom Shop 2022 TAK Matsumoto 1955 Les Paul Murphy LAB Custom Aged
This is the limited-edition 'Tak Matsumoto 1955 Les Paul Gold Top' signature model, produced in a limited run of 150 guitars for B'z guitarist Tak Matsumoto.
It is modelled on his 1955 Les Paul, which was modified from P-90s to two humbuckers. Like his own guitar, the top coat has been applied to recreate the clear finish over the peeling finish on the back of the neck.
The capacitors follow 1955 specifications and use Grey Tiger capacitors, which are not typically found on standard Hiscollar models. The strap pins are Schaller lock-type, consistent with previous Matsumoto models.
The neck profile is the slightly slimmer 'Authentic '59 Medium C-Shape', which is used on current Hiscollar '59 models. The pickups are relatively high-output BurstBucker Pro Alnico 5s.
The guitar is in excellent condition with minimal wear and comes complete with its certificate and tags, making it highly recommended for collectors.
