Gibson Custom Shop 2022 Murphy Lab 1957 Les Paul Custom 3PU Bigsby Light Aged
This is a “1957 Les Paul Custom Light Aged” model, aged by Murphy Lab, a team specializing in aging and led by Tom Murphy, a founding member of Gibson Custom Shop and a leading authority on aging.
It features a relatively light “Light Aged” finish, which is the second lightest of the four aging options available in the Murphy Lab Collection, with fine weather checking and edge dings have been reproduced throughout.
It is built to 1957 specifications and features three pickups and an all-mahogany body.
It has diamond head inlays, gold hardware, block position markers, and plastic button waffle-back pegs.
The neck has a slightly slimmer Chunky C shape compared to previous '57 models, and it is equipped with two un-potted Custom Buckers pickups.
Scratches and dents, which are likely not the result from aging, are primarily visible on the body back.
The frets have been leveled, and retain approximately 70-80%. The neck and truss rod are in good condition.
