Gibson Custom Shop 2014 Historic Collection Firebird V VOS
The Firebird V VOS model features a rare ebony black finish and a stop tailpiece specification reminiscent of Johnny Winter's beloved instrument.
Designed by automotive designer Ray Dietrich, the Firebird was Gibson's first guitar with a through-neck construction and a unique body and headstock shape, said to deliver rich sustain. The instrument's structure comprises a 9-ply mahogany and walnut neck with glued-on mahogany wings.
The neck has a rounded, slightly thicker profile and the pickups are equipped with two original Mini Humbucker pickups.
The pickguard has been replaced, but it shows only very light scuffing with no noticeable damage, maintaining its excellent condition.
The frets show almost no wear, and the neck and truss rod are both in flawless condition.
