Gibson Custom Shop 2002 Dickey Betts Red Top 1957 Les Paul
This limited-edition signature model, of which only 110 pieces are available worldwide, recreates the 1957 Red Top Les Paul owned by Dickey Betts, a founding member of the Allman Brothers Band.
This distinctive model features a red finish so thin that the wood grain shows through, as well as signature elements such as the metal toggle switch plate and jack plate, and a contoured back.
A replica of Dickey Betts’ signature adorns the back of the headstock, and the guitar is equipped with two 57 Classic pickups.
There are multiple scratches and dents throughout the body, paint chipping and wear at the base of the headstock, weather checking on the back of the headstock and veneer, a scratch on the tip of the headstock, and tarnish on the metal parts.
