Gibson Custom Shop 2015 Collector’s Choice #29 Tamio Okuda 1959 Les Paul Aged
This is the 'Collector's Choice #29 Tamio Okuda 1959 Les Paul Aged' model, produced in a limited edition of 300.
Meticulously recreating Tamio Okuda's 1959 Burst #9-1165, it features a unique color not found in the Historic Collection, named 'OT Burst'. The beautiful maple top dramatically changes appearance depending on the viewing angle. Delicate yet bold ageing processes replicate the original's scratches and paint wear, giving it an exceptional look.
It features “57 Classic” pickups, which were selected for their closer resemblance to the original sound.
There is visible overall fading of the red tones on the body and the back of the neck.
The frets show slight wear, primarily on the plain strings, but over 90% remain intact.
The neck and truss rod are in good condition.
