Here is a very cool Gibson Custom Shop CAT STEVENS J-180 Everly Brothers signature model guitar. The guitar is in very good plus condition with some light signs of playwear. Comes with the original hard case, COA, and all the paperwork as shown. The guitar looks great, plays easy, and sounds amazing! Really cool and collectible model.

With his long dark hair, slender frame, and soulful lyrics, Cat Stevens defined the 1970s singer-songwriter era. His black Gibson J-180 Cat Stevens became the canvas for timeless anthems like “Wild World,” “Peace Train,” and “Father and Son.” This guitar’s warm, percussive tone shaped the intimate sound of Tea for the Tillerman and Teaser and the Firecat.

In 1969, Stevens discovered his J-180 at Selmer’s Music Shop in London, drawn first to its elegant maple and spruce construction. He sold it in the late ’70s to support charitable causes, only to reunite with the original instrument decades later—and add a vintage backup to his touring rig.

To honor that legacy, Gibson’s Acoustic Custom Shop released a meticulous reissue in 2022. Limited to 50 instruments worldwide, this Cat Stevens J-180 replica features thermally aged Sitka spruce, mother-of-pearl moon and star inlays, and a hand-signed interior label by Yusuf/Cat Stevens.
