2011 Gibson Custom Shop Ace Frehley "Budokan" Les Paul Custom Aged Cherry Sunburst

Description

Gibson Custom Shop 2011 Ace Frehley "Budokan" Les Paul Custom Aged

This is the limited-edition 'Ace Frehley Budokan Les Paul Custom Aged' model, of which only 100 were produced.

It faithfully recreates the Les Paul Custom that Ace Frehley used during the 1977 Japan tour. It features a three-piece maple top, a bright cherry sunburst finish and Grover tuners with square pearloid buttons and speed knobs.

Every detail of the original instrument has been meticulously replicated, including the screw holes from the replacement tuning pegs and strap pins, the marks from the replacement of the strap pins, the screw holes around the truss rod cover, the repair marks from the head crack, the paint wear patterns and even the placement of the scratches.

The wood materials match the specifications of the early 1970s: a pancake-style body with maple sandwiched between mahogany and a slim-shaped three-piece mahogany neck with a volute.

The pickup configuration features three pickups: a Dimarzio PAF in the neck and center position, and a Dimarzio Super Distortion in the bridge position. The neck and center pickups are dummy pickups, wired only in the bridge position, just like the original instrument.

The guitar shows minimal wear, with almost no fret wear. The neck and truss rod are in perfect condition.
