2023 Gibson Custom Shop 1957 Les Paul Goldtop Reissue Dark Back VOS

This Gibson Custom Shop 1957 Les Paul Goldtop Reissue is in mint condition. This guitar shows no signs of play wear throughout and appears to have been babied since it was purchased brand new two years ago. This guitar features a phenomenal feeling chunky 1950s “D” shaped neck profile with a 24.75” scale, a 1 11/16” nut width and a 12” fingerboard radius. The neck is fantastic to play and it also looks superb with the nicely figured dark Indian Rosewood fingerboard, accurate 50s style nylon nut and aged Cellulose Nitrate trapezoid inlays. The Historic Gibson narrow/tall fret wire is in immaculate condition and shows no wear. This Goldtop has been set up and it plays absolutely outstanding up and down the fingerboard with low smooth action and spot on intonation. Not only is this Les Paul a righteous playing instrument, but it’s also exceptionally resonant, loud and woody sounding when played unplugged… it’s one of those guitars that you just know is going to sound killer before you even plug it in. Speaking of plugged in, the Gibson Custombucker pickups absolutely do not disappoint and deliver some extremely satisfying woody yet hollow and articulate Les Paul tones with plenty of vintage sizzle and bite from the bridge position and a super warm fat yet clear tone from the neck position. This is a truly remarkable sounding instrument. This guitar weighs in on the light side at 8lb 6oz, is housed in its original Gibson “Lifton” style hardshell case and includes all of its original paperwork, hangtags, COA and its extra white switch tip and brown switch cavity cover plate.
