1956 Fender Tweed Princeton 5F2 Clean, 100% Original and it Works Great!

This 1956 Princeton is 100% original, and it sounds fantastic!

When amps like this come in, I always bring them up slowly on a variac. If everything warms up correctly and the caps aren't super leaky, I give it the ear test. This amp passed both checks. We then cleaned all the tubes, pots, and jacks to make sure it is good to go.

Literally everything on the amp is original, and it is really clean too. If you'd rather have the electrolytic caps update and a grounded power cable added, I can do so for an additional $100. I do recommend having the work done if you plan to rely on the amp for regular use, but I am leaving it as-is for now as it is a prime example.

You'll notice that one back panel looks a little different. It is wrapped with slightly older, original Fender tweed. I've seen amps like this, and in fact I just got a mid 50s Champ that has this same type of tweed on one side, and it is plainly all-original.

Shipping policy:

When you purchase this item you are hereby agreeing to this shipping policy. We remove tubes from amps that could be damaged in shipping. These cases require the buyer to re-install them on delivery - it is very easy with this amp, and we label them so you know exactly where to put them. We do this because we have experienced shipping issues in the past, and this is our prevention measure. Vintage amps are sold as-is because they can need service intermittently. Everything is tested here in our shop on the way into our inventory, and again before shipping. We will cover shipping damage, but we cannot be responsible for the failure of vintage components in 20-to-50-plus year old amps. Shipments will require signature on delivery, no exceptions. If there is damage, the buyer must retain all packing materials intact and picture them immediately and send them to . Less than 1% of our shipments are damaged in transit, and we are committed to making sure your item arrives safely, but we are taking these additional measures to make sure you are happy with your purchase.
