1971 Fender Telecaster Maple Prototype
Description
1971 Fender Maple Trade Show Display Prototype Telecaster with Maple Body & Neck in Excellent-Near Mint All Original Condition and has been in a Private Collection since 1982. This guitar is the exact opposite of the Rosewood Tele but instead of Rosewood Pieced body with sandwiched Maple Center Stripe it is made up of Highly Figured Flamed Maple Pieces with thin sandwiched Walnut lamination stripe. The neck is also made from Highly Figured Flamed Maple. Weight is 9 Lbs 12 Oz. The guitar is also featured in Andre Duchossoir's Telecaster Book on page 42 (See photos). Although the guitar isn't very playable due to the highly figured Flamed Maple neck it remains a Rare Opportunity to own a Unique One-Of-A-Kind Piece of Fender History. A True Museum Piece! Includes the Original Fender Hard Shell Case and a Copy of Andre Duchossoirs Telecaster book. Another Fender Zebrawood Prototype Telecaster from the same period will be posted for sale shortly (see Last Photo).
