1978 Fender Telecaster Black

Black, maple neck and fretboard, with Fender Custom Shop Nocaster pickups installed. Cool old Teles are increasingly hard to find. This one is in original black with a cool detail. Under some paint chips you can see red. Yes, it’s factory original black finish over factory original red. This is also refretted (you’re welcome) and has a changed six saddle bridge. The bridge is from the same era but these four bolt Standards had the three saddle bridge. Let’s just say the bridge stays in tune and the pickups sound fantastic. It’s not quite 10 pounds and has great sustain. It’s been played and shows finish checking, dings, neck wear. The frets are newer and in pretty good shape. Comes with a later Fender plastic hard shell case with one broken latch.
