1962 Fender Jazzmaster – Fiesta Red

Description

Check out this incredible slab-board 1962 Fender Jazzmaster in its original Fiesta Red finish! This is an excellent time for Jazzmasters, right before the switch to veneer fingerboards. As an early 60s example, this one features an original tortoiseshell pickguard and non-matching headstock. Since Fiesta was the only custom color mixed in-house by Fender, you often see different variations of this finish. Sometimes it looks more true red, sometimes more orange, and this one is a bit pinker. This particular shade of Fiesta harmonizes beautifully with this pickguard. In some areas of wear, you can see an undercoat that appears to be Roman Red (or some deep red) poking through, contrasting with the lighter top coat of Fiesta. This neck is smooth in the hand and has been played in for comfortability, and this piece sounds great in all positions thanks to these balanced single coil pickups. This piece is entirely original and also comes with its original hardshell case!

Overall Condition: 7.5, wear in some areas with undercoat poking through, playwear throughout, patina
