This is a Stratocaster with a black finish and a one-piece maple neck in excellent condition.
This is the last model year to feature the “staggered pole-piece pickups” design that has been in use since the 1950s.
Not only the body, but the clear coat finish on the neck shows almost no discoloration; the headstock, which features only a nitrocellulose lacquer finish, shows absolutely no discoloration either, allowing the natural color of the beautiful maple wood to shine through.
