1971 Fender Stratocaster – Candy Apple Red
Description
Candy Apple Red looks stunning on this 1971 Fender Stratocaster! This one has a deep, rich finish and screams the early 70s with this large Fender headstock, yet it still retains a four-bolt neck. The change to a three-bolt design happened in mid 71, so with this April neck, this Strat just made it! This guitar plays seamlessly with three nicely balanced single-coil pickups, a smooth neck, and light weight. This guitar has been refretted and received a new nut, though the job was extremely well done, as the fingerboard finish is original. The headstock used to sport an extra string tree that has since been removed, leaving a small hole. Lastly, this guitar came to us with a 5-way switch, but we have since sourced a correct, original 3-way switch and had it professionally installed.
