1965 Fender Stratocaster "Original Lake Placid Blue Finish"

A mid-60s Stratocaster with the original Lake Placid Blue finish.
Fender Custom Colors became officially available for order starting in 1960, however, pre-CBS era Custom Colors were produced in limited quantities and have become increasingly difficult to obtain in recent years.
This is a 1964/65 Stratocaster featuring the popular custom color, Lake Placid Blue finish.
The neck date is November 1964, the pots date are the first week of 1965, and the pickups date are also January-February 1965,
showing this a guitar produced from late 1964 to early 1965.
Characteristic features of the early 65 models include a green pickguard and
a Jacaranda fingerboard.
While showing wear and weathering typical for its age, this vintage gear maintains excellent plus condition.
Frets and nut are replaced.
Several minor parts, such as the bridge saddle height adjustment screws, have been replaced.
