1964 Fender Stratocaster – Green/Blue Sparkle

Description

This unbelievable 1964 Fender Stratocaster comes in a Green/Blue Sparkle! These sparkle finishes are considered factory; however, their paint guns were not equipped to spray such big sparkle flecks. As a result, local body shops and other independent painters, such as Dennis Swiden, were supplied with bodies from Fender for these glittering custom finishes! This sparkle finish appears to be a mixture of green and blue flecks, applied over what was originally a Sunburst body. This Stratocaster is remarkably well-preserved for its age, and it sounds, feels, and plays incredibly well! This one features the 38th week of 1963 pots, a March of 64 neck, and a December 1963 body (stamped in red ink in neck pocket). These original black bobbins date to May 1964. There is some wear here and there, though overall it maintains a very clean look.
