1963 Fender Stratocaster "Original Fiesta Red Finish"

Early 60s Stratocaster with original Fiesta Red finish.
Fender Custom Colors became officially available for order starting in 1960, however, production numbers for each model remained low until the early 1960s. As a result, it can be quite difficult to see actual examples of certain colors.
This is a Stratocaster featuring the popular Fiesta Red finish among custom colors.
You can see the wear and weathering that comes from actual use, but for vintage gear, it's in excellent condition, maintaining good shape.
Like the Slab period, the opaque finish without a topcoat
is a unique color specific by this 63 model year.
The frets and nut have been replaced, ensuring good playability, while other parts remain original.
There are signs that the pickup cavity was once filled with conductive coating, but it has been removed.
Features a pre-CBS-era Black Bobbin pickup.
