1962 Fender Stratocaster Sunburst

Description

Here's a wild one! This is a 1962 FENDER STRAT with a solid MAPLE NECK dated 6/62! She's not 100% original, but for the most important parts she is! The body sports its original sunburst finish, the pickups are original black bottoms and not rewound, but the pots are changed with 70's pots, switch is original 3-way. There is shielding paint in the pickup routs, and some shielding on the underside of the original single-ply white pickguard. Plastic is right, bridge and saddles are right, looks like a newer block (the vibrato arm probably broke off in the original). The neck is the odd-ball being solid maple, not a maple cap.The logo has the 1962 era-correct spaghetti logo with pat#s. 1950s logo would not have these. There was an added string tree which we repaired. Looks like original frets, original fretboard wear, but maybe oversprayed headstock. It has numbers etched into the back of the neck heal... maybe special order or replacement? Original single-line tuners, it stays in tune, plays great, and sounds fantastic. Here's your chance to get a maple neck Strat for a GREAT PRICE!. Comes with the original brown '62 Fender case.
