1959 Fender Stratocaster Sunburst

This Fender Stratocaster was made in the USA in 1959. It shows considerable play wear but no structural damage. Ok - when we got the guitar it has an original 1957 strat neck and 1957 ser# but the body is 11/1959 and the parts are 1959. We happened to have a 1959 Strat neck in our spare parts so we put them together. Interestingly that Strat neck came to us years ago on a 50's refinished body that has a 59 neckplate which we kept with the neck all these years. The pickguard is an original 11 hole single ply guard which Fender only did briefly in 1959 - but there is one added screw where the guard must have warped. All parts are original 1959 except the switch and 2 pots. Also, the neck was refretted. Original finish. The guitar weighs 7 pounds 7 ounces. It has been pro-setup in our store and plays great. It comes with an original brown vintage strat case that is very rough but functional.
