1958 Fender Stratocaster – “Pink Sand”

Description

This 1958 Fender Stratocaster features a pre-custom-color chart finish in what we have lovingly been referring to as “Pink Sand”! This finish is hard to describe without seeing it in person, as it might be viewed as Desert Sand by the untrained eye, but after close inspection, it is most definitely “pinker” than that – plus, it is over Desert Sand! With a bit of hunting, we could closely match this finish with Ditzler’s color Desert Beige (color code: DQE-21484-DAC). As if this wasn’t cool enough, throw in some gold hardware and you’ve got one of the most interesting and unique ’50s Stratocasters we have ever seen! The electronics and neck date this guitar to mid-’58, with a neck profile also reflecting a mid-’58 Medium C. We love this Strat, and it’s everything you could want from an early custom color example like this!
