1957 Fender Stratocaster – Red/Gold Sparkle
Description
This 1957 Stratocaster features a custom Red finish with Gold Sparkle! This finish is hard to describe without seeing it in person, as it almost has a duo-chrome effect. From certain angles, the gold sparkle appears flat, leaving the area looking red until the light hits it. This guitar also has a blue metallic undercoat, which we are adding to the list of unique undercoats we have seen on our sparkle/pre-custom-color chart instruments. As if all of this wasn’t enough, throw in some gold hardware and you’ve got one of the coolest 50s Stratocasters we have ever seen! The electronics and neck date this guitar to early ‘57, and it has a neck profile that toes the line right between a soft and hard V. This neck is particularly chunky, giving it a unique feel. Personally, we love it! Other than a refret and new nut, this guitar remains original and retains its original tweed case.
