1954 Fender Stratocaster – Sunburst

Description

This 1954 Fender Stratocaster may have some of the prettiest wood grain in our store! The tight grain pattern is a stunning backdrop for this original Sunburst finish. This guitar has a clean overall look, with the perfect amount of vibey wear. From the fine finish checking to the fretboard wear to the neck wear, this is what the custom shop is trying to replicate. This neck is exceptionally smooth from years of use, with a chunky soft V profile that would delight any player looking for a ’50s Fender. Some strats are too heavy, some are too light, and this one is just right – down the middle with the perfect mid-weight. Despite the playwear, these frets are original and still have meat on them, making them easy and comfortable to play. One of our favorite features? The elongated, painted plug at the headstock. This is something you will sometimes find on early Strats, which only makes the guitar that much cooler. Aside from one changed knob (middle tone, repro example), this “first-year” Strat remains all original and ships out in its original poodle case with a cord. Can you beat that?!
