1954 Fender Stratocaster – Sunburst
Description
This classic 1954 Fender Stratocaster is now available in its original Sunburst finish! This guitar features late 1953 pots, with a 5/54 neck date and a 6/54 body date. The tape in the electronics cavity reads “Maria 6-5-54”. All of this suggests an early 1954 example, further confirmed by its distinctive, early features. One of our favorite aspects of this Strat is its one-piece ash body, which is beautifully highlighted by the two-tone Sunburst finish. While this guitar remains entirely original, it still exhibits a fair amount of playwear, most notably on the fretboard. It’s that perfectly worn-in ’54 Strat sought out by players and collectors alike. So, if you’re looking for a staple piece to round out your collection, or just want a great guitar, you’ll be set with this one! Plus, who can resist this original tweed case featuring a sticker bearing the name “Randy Bottoms”?
