1975 Fender Princeton
Description
Near-mint with factory papers. The Princeton (non-reverb) had a 33-year run, from 1946 to 1979. This one we bought from the original owner, who had kept the owner’s manual (with great photos), warranty card, inspection card, schematic, and the Fender envelope that holds all the cool documentation. We then sent it out to be detailed - remove all dust, cobwebs, scrub behind the knobs, clean the speaker (about $100 worth of work.) But wait…there’s more. We had it fully serviced ($150), fixing anything that might need fixing. Now biased, pots cleaned, jacks tightened, and everything tested. It’s still hand-wired, as Fender was still a ways from going to printed circuit boards. Sounds great, a bit more gain than the reverb variant, and with that great Fender optical tremolo. 12 watts from a pair of 6V6s, and a great Oxford 10” speaker. Replaced mains cable (the original red-plug one is included), and has a repro footswitch. Portable, versatile, and attractive, made in Fullerton, California, USA.
