1961 Fender Precision Bass – Sunburst
Description
I hope you have a sweet tooth, because this bass comes with all the case candy! This 1961 Fender Precision Bass is all-original, with a three-tone Sunburst finish that remains in great condition, showing some wear throughout the body. It features a late-1961 neck date and pots, and a slab rosewood board, just before Fender switched to veneer. Patina and some wear are present throughout the metal components, though the overall look remains clean. This bass was not a case queen, because the original owner played it in his band, “Privates First Class.” Included in the sale are some photos of the original owner with the bass, along with a slew of extras in the case. Our favorite piece is an original white Fender body guard. Seemingly, this guard was not used much with the bass, as the back of the body shows the most finish wear.
Overall Condition: 8.5
