1959 Fender Precision Bass "First Rosewood Fingerboard"

Description

The second version appeared in late 1957, and by fall 1959, the Precision Bass had been updated with a slab rosewood fingerboard replacing the maple one-piece neck.
This Precision Bass we got is the first era model featuring rosewood fingerboard in 1959.

You can see playing wear and belt buckle marks that must have been played in over many years, but those marks are proof of its excellent sound.
The scratches and buckle wear on the body honed over many years of playing, proove to the instrument's fine sound.

Frets and nut, and PU fence are replaced.
