1971 Fender Mustang Competition Red

Description

Here's a 1971 Fender Mustang in Competition Red finish. All original example! 16OCT71 B neck date, with '71 dated pot codes. At some point the previous owner glued the pickguard down on the body. We were able to get it off. As you can see, there's just a couple of small pickguard crack repairs where some of the screws go in, but mainly everything's in tact. In fact, overall the guitar is clean! The neck has a comfortable C profile, and plays great! Low action from top to bottom. Frets are in good shape as well. Both original Mustang single coil pickups sound fantastic! Strong, balanced, and clear/articulate. Also, the Vibrato on this particulate example works. It's very smooth, with a lot of range. Killer guitar here! Clean OHSC included!
