1970 Fender Jazz Bass "Original Factory Fletless with Lake Placid Blue & Black Binding Neck"
Description
This is a super rare Jazz Bass, the first factory-made fretless bass produced by Fender.
Fretless models officially appeared in the Precision Bass lineup around 1972 and can be found in the vintage market, but factory fretless models of the Jazz Bass were not produced until the 1980s.
This is a special model produced earlier as Fender's first fretless bass. According to records, it features two color options: Lake Placid Blue and Candy Apple Red, a maple cap neck, and black binding.
It is believed that only a few were manufactured.
Despite being a rare model, it shows signs of actual play. While there is some wear from use,
considering its age, it remains in excellent condition for vintage gear.
A Jack, pickup mounting screws have been replaced.
Including other individuals, the chances of obtaining one are probably nonexistent.
Neck Date = 7 NOV 70 A
Pot Date = 1376642
