1960 Fender Esquire – Blond
Description
Calling all slab board seekers! This 1960 Fender Esquire in Blond is fresh into our shop, and features a stunning rosewood board. Late 50s/Early 60s Fenders have gained a certain allure, partially due to the thicker rosewood boards the brand was using at the time. Beyond the board, this Esquire sports a creamy blond finish and white guard, two appointments that look particularly beautiful against the rosewood grain. This guitar is completely original, including the frets, which remain in great condition. At just 6 lbs 4 oz, this guitar’s noticeably lightweight feel is incredible in hand, and this singular pickup packs a twangy punch. One of the most common questions we get about Esquires in store is “What does the switch do if there’s only one pickup?” This switch acts as a tone selector, offering three different tonal options: bass-heavy, “standard” tone function, and a bypass feature that sends the signal to the jack. This is just one of those instruments that offers you the best bang for your buck, and since Esquires are particularly hard to find from this period, make sure you act fast to make this one yours!
