Description

Here’s an awesome 1953 Fender Esquire “Blackguard” in its original Blond finish! This particular one retains all of its original components and hardware, with everything being in pretty clean shape! The neck feels excellent in the hand and fills the palm nicely. This singular bridge pickup has that esquire sound in spades, and each switch position offers a new tonal profile. The bottom of the body must’ve seen some moisture at some point, as most of the finish has flaked off that area. The majority of the remaining bottom finish feels stable and gives the guitar a unique look. This guitar must’ve been well-favored, as evidenced by the fret wear and the fact that a neck pickup was installed at some point but has since been removed, leaving two holes underneath the pickguard.

Overall Condition: 7, flakey bottom finish, playwear, weather checking, and patina
