Fender Elite Stratocaster with Maple Fretboard 1983 - Brown Sunburst

Description

While not much has changed with the Stratocaster over the years, the Fender Elite Strats are certainly a different take on the classic instrument we all know and love. While the shape and feel is quite similar, there are some quite noticeable upgrades. Not only has the vibrato system been changed from the 6 point through body design to a more modern internally routed 2 point "FreeFlyte" vibrato system, the electronics are where things really have seen improvement and change however. To keep up with the many modifications and upgrades people were making to their guitars, Fender offered a unique active pickup system with sophisticated on board EQ with switchable treble and midrange boost controls. Keeping the classic 1 volume 2 tone pots and a 5 way switch, on off push buttons were offered for each pickup besides the dummy coil for noiseless "single coil" pickups!

This particular guitar is in very good cosmetic condition with normal scratches as well as a few larger dings on the body. The jumbo frets have moderate to heavy wear, but there's still plenty of room for some more level and crowns. Playability is good up and down the neck with added comfort and sustain from those larger frets. While we don't have all of the history on this guitar, everything appears to be original and everything is functioning as it should electronically.
