Fender Custom Shop 2020 Limited 62/63 Stratocaster Journeyman Relic
This is the “1962/1963 Stratocaster Journeyman Relic” model, produced as a part of the limited-edition 2020 MID-YEAR LTD series.
It faithfully reproduces features from the transitional period between 1962 and 1963, such as the round laminated rosewood fingerboard, the screw hole positions on the pickguard and the spacing of the position markers.
The neck is a slightly thicker 1963 “C” shape and the fingerboard has a 7.25“ - 9.5” compound radius. The medium vintage frets are slightly larger than vintage types and offer excellent playability.
The pickup is a hand-wound “60/63ST” with ‘BP’ signature, and employs “Vintage Mod. Wiring #2” with an independent capacitor for the bridge position. (In the bridge position, the tone control has a shallow response.)
The guitar is in excellent condition with minimal signs of wear. There is no fret wear, and the neck and truss rod are in perfect condition.
