Fender Custom Shop 2018 Black Roasted Dual-Mag Stratocaster Relic 2017 Limited Edition
“The Black Roasted Dual-Mag Stratocaster Relic” model was produced as part of a limited series called the "Limited Edition 2017 Mid-Year Collection" to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Fender Custom Shop in 2017.
Both the alder body and the quarter-sawn maple neck have been roasted and given weather checks and dents using relic treatment, giving the guitar an outstanding vintage look.
The neck has a slightly thicker '60s-style oval C grip and the fingerboard is made of AAA-grade rosewood with a compound radius of 9.5R–12R.
The guitar is equipped with hand-wound "Dual-Mag Strat" pickups signed "LD".
The "Dual-Mag Strat" uses two types of magnet: an Alnico magnet pole piece for a sweeter, warmer sound on strings 1-3 and an Alnico magnet for a clearer sound on strings 4-6.
The original black pickguard and back panel have been replaced with a white, 3-ply pickguard and white back panel (original not included).
There are several scratches on the back of the neck that are not relic-related.
There is almost no fret wear and there are no problems with the neck or truss rod.
