Offered here is just your basic, beautiful and very desirable Fender Custom Shop 62 NOS Stratocaster. This is a Dealer Select model completed just a few months ago in October, 2025 for Detroit Guitar and is in unblemished ‘as-new’ condition.
The specs on this instrument include a light-weight Alder body and a straight grained maple neck with a satin finish. It has a 60’s oval C shape neck with depths of .85" at the 1st fret and .98" at the 12th fret by my measurements. It has a very dark AAA grade rosewood fretboard with a 9.5" radius, 6105 frets, a 1.6875" bone nut and vintage style clay dot fingerboard inlays. The pickups are 62 style single coils hand wound specially for Detroit Guitar. The controls include the usual volume/tone/tone and five-way pickup switching along with a push/pull tone pot that allows for the neck and bridge pickups to be activated in unison. The guitar is finished in three tone sunburst nitro lacquer with no distressing and it weighs just 7.4 pounds.
This guitar is a modern classic; much like the original upon which it is based, but with the essential modern improvements that most players prefer, including the upgraded frets, fingerboard radius, satin neck finish and electronics.
