Fender Custom Shop 2013 1972 Telecaster Custom Closet Classic
This is the '1972 Telecaster Custom Closet Classic' model, which is based on the specifications from 1972.
It features specifications from the early 1970s, including a wide-range humbucker front pickup, a laminated maple fingerboard, a three-point neck joint, a bullet truss rod and F-style tuners. However, it incorporates back contouring, a process not present in the original era.
No dents, scratches or weather checks have been applied, and the overall finish has been reproduced to give it a slightly subdued appearance.
This relatively lightweight guitar weighs 3.25 kg. It has a slightly thicker C-shaped neck, a 9.5-inch fingerboard radius and narrow-tall frets.
The pickup is a hand-wound Twisted Tele with an Abigail Ybarra signature on the back.
There are several dents and scratches on the top of the body, and multiple dents and scratches are also present on the back and sides of the body.
The frets show some wear on the plain strings in the lower positions, but overall retention is about 80%. The neck and truss rod are in good condition.
