Fender Custom Shop 2023 1964 Stratocaster Journeyman Relic
This is the "1964 Stratocaster Journeyman Relic" model with a round laminated rosewood fingerboard.
This model features transitional specs, a traditional logo, a mint green guard and clay dots. The Journeyman Relic process has recreated the fine weather checks, tiny dents and tarnish on the metal parts across the body, giving it an outstanding look.
The neck is a slightly thicker 63 Strat-Style "C" shape, with a 9.5R radius fingerboard made from AAA grade dark shade rosewood, with narrow tall 6105 frets.
The pickups are hand-wound "FAT 64" signed "VC" and have "Vintage Mod. Wiring #2" with a separate capacitor for the neck position.
(The neck position has a shallow tone effect).
Fret wear is minimal and there are no problems with the neck or truss rod.
