2022 Fender Custom Shop 1962 JAZZMASTER JRN Journeyman Relic Shell Pink
Description
Offered for sale:
Used 2022 Fender Custom Shop 1962 JAZZMASTER JRN Journeyman Relic serial number R121675.
This guitar is in excellent condition, neck and frets are fine. Cosmetically showing some nicks, scratches and light finish checking, commensurate with “the moderate playing time” that the Custom Shop intended to depict in their Journeyman Aging Package.
These guitars are available in 6 aging styles from mint to beat.
Or in Custom Shop speak: New Old Stock (NOS), Closet Classic, DLX Closet Classic, Journeyman Relic, Relic and Heavey Relic.
According to Fender, the concept of the Journeyman style is a guitar which has been “Handed down or changed hands through the years, but mostly played around the house, with the occasional jam session or weekend gig. Has been well taken care of over the years but has some finish checking, some ‘friendly’ down-to-the-wood nicks and dings, dullish hardware and moderate playing wear – a very lucky find.”
According to us: ding-shming, Journeyman-Shmerneyman. That Shell Pink finish on a great playing Jazzmaster is where it’s at! - a very lucky find indeed.
The vibrato assembly was upgraded to a smoother nylon bushing receptacle. The original is included.
This guitar is a special order for Chicago Music Exchange and the build sheet or shop floor traveler denotes the pickups as “HW JMASTER CHICAGO SPCL REL”. The color option is listed as AGED, and the top color is SHELL PINK.
This guitar comes with the complete package of case candy including the Certificate of Authenticity and supporting documentation.
Original hard-shell case included.
We carefully inspect every instrument when we buy it and bring it up to our standards before we offer it for sale. We also do a full set up before we ship.
If you decide to purchase this guitar, please let us know what gauge strings you prefer.

*Please note: we do our best giving descriptions of used pieces.
We have found it difficult to describe (and sometimes impossible to photograph) every single mark/blemish/imperfection on an instrument or amp that we offer.
Also, what's important to you may not be important to someone else. For example, you may say, "I don't care what it looks like as long as it plays or sounds well." Another person may say, "Body cosmetics are very important to me so tell me about every scratch, nick and blemish."
So, please ask the questions that are most important to you. If you ask, they will be answered. They are free and there's no limit. Additional photos can also be made available.
This is a specific item that is also being offered for sale in our brick & mortar location. It is possible that it has just been sold. Please ask if it is still available before purchasing.
*It is our policy to require a signature on delivery of all musical instruments. Please let us know if you prefer no signature required when ordering or we will automatically require a signature.
If you prefer your item to be sent without a required signature Imperial Guitar and the selected carrier can no longer be responsible for the security of the package once it has been delivered.
