Fender Stratocaster Hardtail 1973 - Black
Description
Here we have a cool vintage 1973 Hardtail Stratocaster from Fender! This one sports a black finish and is good shape overall.
Specs include an alder body, maple neck, rosewood board, pearl dot inlays, 21 frets and a 3-ply white guard. It has F tuning machines, a string through body hardtail bridge, a 3 bolt neck joint, and a bullet truss rod adjustment. It’s loaded with gray bottom single coil pickups.
This guitar has been refretted and has a replaced bone nut. It has narrow tall fret wire that is still in very good shape. There is a small spot of fill on the board at the 15th fret, presumably from the refret. The jack has been replaced, as well as the ground wire from the jack. The other electronics appear to be original, including the 3-way switch. The strap buttons are also replacements. The finish shows dings, scratches and wear across its surface. The wear is all honest without being abused.
This one weighs 7lbs 6oz. The neck measures .820 to .910 at the 1st and 12th frets. It has a D shaped carve, medium in depth, with a medium shoulder and nearly flat apex. It has a warm, mellow mid-range sound off the body, but has good top end clarity. The guitar is resonant and easy to play with a slinky feel and nice response under the right hand.
Ships in a period hardshell case and includes the bridge cover.
