1962 Epiphone Sheraton Blonde/Natural
Description
The most underrated guitars on the planet? Gibson made these right along side the 335's from 1959 until the late 60's when Epiphone moved their manufacturing to Asia. These American made Epis are extraordinary. Pickups on this 1962 Sheraton are stickered PAF mini humbuckers and have a unique sound-close to a full size humbucker at the bridge but more mellow and musical at the neck. A blonde 335/345 is going run to 6 figures. A blonde 355 is nearly nonexistent. There is no better alternative if there's a blonde in your future if you can even find one. In fact the charts say they only made one blonde 62 non vibrato Sheraton. I know that's wrong because I've had two of them and I've seen a third. Still crazy rare. The neck profile is fairly typical of a Gibson 62-maybe a little bigger at .82" at the first and .90" at the 12th with a very soft V profile. The 62's were the last of the left over New York Epiphone necks and are nicer than anything Gibson made at the time, IMO. The guitar is all original and in 9/10 condition with its original case.
