1995 Breedlove C1-M
Body Type: Concert (C1)
A mid-sized body, known for a balanced, articulate tone.
Top Wood: Solid Sitka Spruce
Offers bright, clear tones with excellent projection.
Back & Sides Wood: Solid Maple
Maple provides a bright, crisp tone with tight low-end and clear mids, and it has a defined high-end sparkle. This makes it great for players who want a focused, articulate sound.
Neck Wood: Maple
Provides good tonal clarity and sustain.
Fretboard Wood: Ebony
Known for smooth playability and clean, fast response.
Scale Length: 25.5 inches
Standard length for many acoustic guitars.
Nut Width: 1.75 inches
A wider nut for comfortable fingerstyle playing.
Bridge Wood: Ebony
Contributes to the guitar's resonance and tonal balance.
Finish: Gloss
A glossy finish that enhances the guitar's aesthetic while also helping protect the wood.
Electronics: None (acoustic-only model)
No built-in pickups, which is common for many guitars from this era.
Neck Joint: Set neck (likely dovetail)
The set neck helps improve sustain and tone transfer.
Tone Profile:
The maple back and sides provide a bright, clear tone with a bit of a "sharper" attack and defined mids. The spruce top balances this out with warmth and clarity. It's a great combination for players who prefer a crisp, focused sound, particularly in genres like bluegrass, folk, and fingerstyle.
