Bixonic Expandora II EXP-2001 Distortion Pedal (Pre-Owned)

Description

Bixonic Expandora II EXP-2001 Distortion Pedal (Pre-Owned)

In Tokyo, 1994, an effects studio developed an eccentric compact effects pedal. It was a product with rather challenging specifications, capable of producing three distortion tones in a single unit. It is capable of producing a wide range of tones, from a straightforward sound that faithfully reproduces the player's nuances to an '80s distortion sound with a thick edge. In addition, there is a "Fuzz Mode" with peculiar tones, comparable to 70's Fuzz sound, that is not recommended by the developer (!), which he called "Forbidden".

The pedal was named "Expandora" after the dynamic range expander circuit that was originally developed by focusing on the amplification characteristics of photocouplers.

At the time a number of guitar players were fascinated by the idea and the variety of tones that could be realized. It was highly acclaimed by many professional artists.

In 2005, the production of the first model was discontinued and the company (Bixonic) was suspended. However, even today, there is no end to the number of fans who are attracted to its sound, and it has come to be known as a legendary machine.

This pedal is in Very Good Condition.
