1953-1957 Gibson Les Paul "Snatch" Conversion

Original early 1953 Les Paul Goldtop with a Trap bridge that has been converted to 1957 PAF specs. This one is patterned after Joe Satriani's "Snatch" conversion. Snatch is the perfect combination of a P-90 neck pickup and a Humbucker bridge pickup. The conversion started with an original 1953 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop that had no breaks, cracks or repairs. All woods (Honduran mahogany body & neck, maple top, Brazilian fretboard, Inlays, Binding are original to the guitar). Original finish including the S/N. The top carve on this guitar is deep and very distinguishable. Finish checking and natural wear from being 73 years old. This has a perfect neck profile, plays and sounds Great...!! The guitar weighs 8lbs 10oz.

Conversion work includes: Neck reset, neck tenon changed to 4.1 degrees, plug and route the bridge for humbucker, Install ABR1 bridge studs, stoptail bushings. Jescar 57110 Frets, Bone nut.

Original Parts Include: Strap buttons, truss rod cover, tuners, toggle switch, tip, Trap End Plate, 56' P-90 Neck pickup, 1960's Gibson HS Case.

Repro parts are: St Helens ABR1 Bridge, thumbwheels & Featherweight tailpiece, ThroBak M69 Pickup Ring, Manlius "Landmark" PAF bridge pickup, CTS Premium pots, NOS PIO caps, Aged Vintage style Gold Top Hat Knobs, Backplates, JC Pickguard & bracket
